Ole Miss has announced Lane Kiffin as its new head football coach.

Kiffin just won the conference USA championship at Florida Atlantic University against the University of Alabama at Birmingham 49-6.

He previously worked under Nick Saben at the University of Alabama as an offensive coordinator before becoming Florida Atlantic’s head coach in 2017.

Kiffin has moved around a lot in coaching jobs at colleges, and was once in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders.

Kiffin’s hiring came shortly after former head coach Matt Luke was fired after losing the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State on Nov. 28.
