Ole Miss freshman football player DaMarcus Thomas has regained movement after being unresponsive from a hit he took at practice earlier Monday.

Pat Jernigan, assistant athletic director for sports medicine at Ole Miss, announced a short time ago that Thomas is doing better.

“Evaluations have all been positive to this point,” Jernigan said in a statement Monday afternoon. “He has regained movement in all of his extremities, and the physicians are optimistic.”

Thomas is in his first season with the Rebels and he has gained plenty of support from Ole Miss fans concerning his injury.
