Mac Jones, who filled in for injured Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, led the Crimson Tide to a 35-16 victory over Michigan tonight.

Jones put the first score up on the night as he threw an 85-yard touchdown pass to Jerry Jeudy to help Alabama take the 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Michigan answered back with a touchdown pass from Shea Patterson to Nick Eubanks to tie the game. Before the quarter ended, Quinn Nordin kicked a 36-yard field goal to give Michigan a 10-7 lead.

Nordin would kick two more field goals in the second quarter for Michigan, and Najeer Harris would score a 9-yard touchdown run for Alabama which brought the score to a 16-14 Michigan lead at halftime.

Alabama’s defense stepped up in the second half of the game by not letting Michigan score for the remainder of the game. Mac Jones threw another long touchdown, this time to Devonta Smith for 42 yards to give Alabama a 21-16 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Alabama would find the end zone twice, once on a 20-yard pass to Miller Forristall and a 2-yard run by Najee Harris to end the game with a 35-16 victory for Alabama.
