Vicksburg police make two burglary arrests in unrelated incidents

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department arrested two Vicksburg men for burglary in unrelated incidents Friday and Sunday.

A theft at Armstrong Flooring on First East Street was reported to 911 at around 12:50 p.m. Friday.

Officers arrested Ricky Sims, 51, on one count of commercial burglary. He appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court before Judge Angela Carpenter Monday, June 8, who set his bond at $15,000 and bound him over to the Warren County grand jury.

Sunday, June 7, at 6:33 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 2900 block of Drummond Street in reference to a burglary.

They arrested Christopher Self, 46, at the scene for residential burglary.

Self also appeared  before Judge Carpenter Monday, June 8, who set his bond at $50,000 and bound him over to the Warren County grand jury.
