Shooting on Grove Street early Saturday morning

A shooting on Grove Street early Saturday morning resulted in property damage.

At 2:28 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, Vicksburg Police responded to the 2200 block of Grove Street in reference to shots fired.  There they found the victim of a shooting who was shot at while in his vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident, but the victim’s 2007 Chevrolet Malibu was damaged on the front on the driver’s side, as well as the driver’s side back door and rear fender.  The rear bumper and back tire were also hit.

Later Saturday, police would respond to another shooting in the same area.  It is unclear at this time if the two incidents are related, and both remain under investigation by the Vicksburg Police.
