Coley, a Mooreville native, has been coaching for the Vikings for the past 18 seasons and he has now gotten the opportunity to become head coach of a football program.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Thrasher family and I deeply appreciate Josh Morgan and my WC family for all the great years here,” Coley said. “I would also like to thank my wife Kristen, my parents, Lum Wright and Robert Morgan for giving me an opportunity.
Coley spent last season as the Vikings special teams and running backs coach as he helped WC to a 9-3 record with a trip to the second round of the playoffs.
For nearly two decades, the Vikings organization have became a family for Coley and even though he is leaving, the team will always hold a special place in his heart.
Coley has now served under three head coaches at WC and he will now take on that big role at Thrasher, where he will be closer to home as the community he served for the past 18 years wishes him well in his new role as head coach.
