As COVID-19 numbers continue to rise, Ole Miss football team has taken full precautions as 100% of their players, coaches, and personnel have all been vaccinated.

“It’s pretty amazing and great motivation for our fans and the state,” head coach Lane Kiffin told ESPN.

The protection provided by full vaccination came just in time for the Rebel as preseason began on Sunday.

Many teams had games canceled due to COVID-19 last season, which boosted the urge of athletes getting vaccinated.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey mentioned that teams that have 85% vaccination rate will not have to forfeit any games this season, so now the Rebels program is looking to have a full season.
