Burglar shot to death in Jackson while trying to break into vehicle

An overnight shooting in Jackson led to the death of a man who was attempting to burglarizing a vehicle on Northside Drive, WLBT reports.
Around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, a burglar was trying to break into a car and was shot multiple times by the vehicle’s owner. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
The owner of the vehicle was taken in for questioning but has not been formally charged with anything, as of this reporting.
Police are investigating the incident. The name of the victim has yet to be released.
