VHS student found in possession of 9mm handgun

A student of Vicksburg High School was found in possession of a 9mm handgun, according to reports filed with the Vicksburg Police Department.
A school official found the weapon, a 9mm handgun, after the student went to retrieve his backpack after an argument with another student.
Due to the involved parties being juveniles, no names are being released.
The student has since been referred to the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center.
