Jaylen Harper stepped out onto the football field on Tuesday ready for action and led the Warren Central Junior High football team to a 16-14 win over Clinton.

The Vikings were down 6-0 early in the game, until Harper managed to get WC down the field and eventually made it to the end zone to give the team a 8-6 lead.

The Arrows would soon score again and go up 14-8, but Harper stepped up a few minutes later and responded with a 53-yard touchdown run to put the Vikings up 16-14.

With only one minute left in the game, Harper got in on defense and made the game winning interception that helped them advance to a 2-1 record.

WCJHS will play again on Tuesday against Madison Central.
