Raymond High School ended Velma Jackson’s two game winning streak on Friday as they went on win 26-12.

The Rangers were without star quarterback Trent Singleton, which forced Dontavious Mack to step up and take the snaps.

The first half of the game consisted of mostly defense with Raymond taking 6-0 lead at halftime after scoring on a nine yard touchdown pass from Mack to K’Swaya Moffett Jr.

Moffett had a big night on the ground as he finished with 165 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, 37 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown with DeCortavious Carver kicking two PATs.

The Rangers added two touchdowns in the fourth quarter by Moffett as he ran behind his aggressive offensive line which helped put the game away as time expired.

Raymond is under the leadership of Michael Fields and they will host Yazoo County on Friday.
