Two crashes cause vehicle fires on Highway 61N and John Russell Drive

Two motor vehicle crashes occurred within just moments Monday evening, both ending with vehicles in flames.
The first wreck occurred just before 7 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 61 North, near Highway 3 in the Redwood area. The vehicle was reported to be on fire, but all occupants were safely out of the vehicle according to initial reports.
Moments later, another crash was reported on John Russell Drive, near Jeff Davis Road in Warren County, and this time the vehicle was carrying diesel fuel. Further details about both of these wrecks will be coming soon, in the meantime, drivers should avoid the areas to allow rescuers and responders to work.
