WC took down Loyd Star 12-8 and VHS took a tough loss to Germantown

Warren Central High School softball team grabbed a 12-8 victory over Loyd Star on Thursday.

Lola Crozier got things going when she sacrificed that led to Tara Bridges scoring. Makayla Jackson would soon single and Annalyn Nevels made it in for a score.

As WC continued to make big plays they eventually went up 8-0 before Loyd Star was able to get a run score.

The Lady Vikes’ lead was narrowed down to 8-4 by the sixth inning but WC managed to stay on top.

Abby Morgan went 4 for 4 at the plate while Nevels got three hits and Bridges and Crozier got two. Jenn Smith, Adalyn Anderson, and Jackson got one with a team total of 15 hits.

VHS Game:

Missy Gators took a 14-1 loss to Germantown. Lexi Kistler got two hits and Kellisia Walker, Trinity McGloster, and Charlie VanNorman both got one hit.
