Bail set at over a million dollars for murder suspects

Bail has been set for two suspects in the March 10, 2022 murder of Lois Gaskin.

Taree Johnson, 31, of Vicksburg, is charged with murder and felony domestic violence. He was given a $1.2 million bail by Judge Angela Carpenter on Friday.

Jessica Miller, 28, of Vicksburg, is charged with murder and aggravated assault and received a $1.1 million bail by Judge Carpenter.

Officers were dispatched to Waltersville Estates late last night for a disturbance. Gaskin received a stab wound and was later pronounced dead at the emergency room.
