Kenneth Earl Mayfield, 55, was indicted for molesting a child under the age of 18. The indictment alleges that Mayfield, “…for the purpose of gratifying his lust or indulging his depraved, licentious sexual desires, did handle, touch or rub with his hand or other parts of his body or some member thereof [redacted], a child under eighteen (18) years of age, without the child’s consent when in a position of trust, that position being step-grandfather.”
Silvester Gaston, 60, is facing a two-count indictment for molesting and sexual battery. The Molesting charges alleges Gaston inappropriately touched a child under 16. The sexual battery charge alleges Gaston unlawfully and feloniously engaged in sexual penetration with “…a child whose age was more than 14 years, but less than 16 years at the time and while the defendant was more than 36 months older than the child.”
Billy Joe Friley, 43, has a two-count indictment for abuse of a vulnerable adult and attempted sexual battery without consent. The first count charges that Friley “…did willfully, unlawfully, and feloniously inflict physical pain or injury upon [redacted], a vulnerable adult as defined by statute. The second count says Friley, “…did willfully, unlawfully and feloniously attempt to engage in sexual penetration,” with the victim.
All four will now have to obtain legal counsel and decide whether to reach an agreement with the prosecution or to take their cases to a judge or jury.
