St. Aloysius softball team took a 7-3 loss to Central Hinds on Monday.

Both Central Hinds and St. Al scored from a passed ball in the first inning and things would stay tied at one until the fifth.

The Lady Cougars got two doubles in the fifth to take a 5-1 lead before the Lady Flashes went to bat. A single by Kyleigh Cooper and a double by Megan Theriot brought in two runs for St. Al and would put the score at 5-3.

The Lady Cougars would gain to more runs in the seventh inning to take home the win.

Cooper struck out 15 batters on the night and she also went 2 for 3 at the plate. Ali G. Luke and Theriot both got a hit and Theriot got two RBIs.

The Lady Flashes will host ACCS on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
