Sex offenders indicted in Warren County
The October Warren County Grand Jury indicted three sex offenders for additional violations.
Lonnie Norman, 57, and Jonathan Snetrell Williams, 29, both with Vicksburg addresses, are charged with failure to notify the Department of Public Safety of an address change. Sex offenders are required to notify the Department of Public Safety anytime they change their address.
According to Mississippi Code 45-33-33, (2013), failure to register is a felony and shall be punishable by a fine not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($ 5,000.00) or imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for not more than five (5) years, or both fine and imprisonment.
Comelia Floyd, Jr., 36, of Vicksburg, is charged with being in possession of Smith & Wesson 38, after being previously convicted of a felony. In April 2012, Floyd was convicted of Statutory Rape in the Warren County Circuit Court. A felon in possession of a weapon is a felony and, upon conviction thereof, can be fined up to $5,000.00, or committed to the custody of the State Department of Corrections for not less than 1 year nor more than 10 years, or both.
