Front desk clerk shot during armed robbery of Red Roof Inn on Pemberton

A front desk clerk is in stable condition after being shot during a robbery in Vicksburg during the overnight hours.

At around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Vicksburg police responded to Red Roof Inn on Pemberton in reference to a robbery and shooting.

Reports state the clerk was shot during the crime and an unknown amount of money was taken.

According to Vicksburg Police, the clerk is in stable condition at Merit Health.

The suspects are unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
