MVC on I-20 East

An 18-wheeler made impact with a vehicle eastbound on I-20 at the 61 south overpass.

The vehicle had spun out on the bridge. A bystander stopped to assist and saw the 18-wheeler barreling for them. The driver of the vehicle jumped in the bystander’s vehicle and they raced away just in time to avoid the impact from the 18-wheeler. No one was in the vehicle when it was hit and no injuries were reported. The 18-wheeler is leaking diesel on the roadway and is still leaking at the time of this report.

Traffic is moving slow at this time while first responders are on the scene.
