MEMA warns of incoming severe weather

Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is informing residents that “March will begin with a risk of Severe Weather.”

Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 73° and a low of 52°. However, there is still a chance of isolated thunderstorms in the morning. An enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes is expected on Thursday.

“Last year we experienced 96 tornadoes between March and May. Take these threats seriously. All it takes is one,” stated MEMA.
