Porter’s Chapel Academy took down Benton Academy 7-0 on Tuesday night.

Singles from Zach Ashley and Chase Hearn along with an RBI from John Wyatt Massey and a double from Gage Palmer put PCA up 2-0. Palmer would also strike out a couple of batters in the second as Ashley picked up a RBI while Brayden King got a hit.

The Eagles wouldn’t get on the board again until the fifth when Gavin Pugh got a single along with a sacrifice by Thomas Azlin.

Ashley brought in the final runs from a ground out.

Palmer and Pugh both ended the night with two hits while King, Hearn and Ashley all had one hit. Ashley also had two RBIs.

Palmer threw a no-hitter and struck out 10 batters in the win.

PCA will travel to Benton on Thursday.
