The Red Carper Bowl will be a lot different in 2023 as games will now be held at two different locations.

The Red Carpet Bowl committee confirmed that Vicksburg High School and Warren Central will both play at their own home fields, starting at 7 p.m. due to the heat.

Red Carpet Bowl decision

The traditional game was scheduled to be held at VHS this year, with WC playing against Clinton at 5:30 p.m. and VHS playing afterwards against Holmes County Central.

In the past, both teams would take turns hosting the Red Carpet Bowl where a packed house was usually in effect, but due to the new situation the big game will be in separate locations at the same time which breaks the tradition.

Friday night games will now begin at 7 p.m. for both WC and VHS.
