St. Aloysius Junior High football team gave Riverfield their first loss on Thursday

St. Aloysius Junior High football team handed Riverfield a loss on Thursday with a 30-8 victory.
On the first play of the game, Keller took a handoff and raced to the end zone for a 60-yard touchdown. However, the Raiders retaliated with a touchdown and followed it up with a successful two-point conversion.
Bradley swiftly turned the tides as he dashed for a 55-yard touchdown, restoring the Flashes’ lead at 14-8. Before the halftime whistle, Dru Gleese made a significant impact on the ball, while Max Hargrave bolstered the defense with several tackles.
The Flashes kicked off the second half with several standout defensive plays. Landon Prentiss not only forced a crucial fumble but also racked up two sacks. He shone offensively as well, grabbing a fourth-down pass that covered over 20 yards late in the match. Gleese chipped in with a 15-yard reception.
The offensive onslaught continued, with Bradley darting through the defense for a 33-yard touchdown. St. Al’s lead expanded to 22-14 after Gleese successfully converted a two-point attempt. The Flashes found the end zone once more when Walt Andrews connected with Bradley on a 13-yard pass.
Bradley showcased his versatility, amassing over 300 all-purpose yards, largely thanks to the blocking prowess of linemen JT Smith, Joseph McDaniel, James Tate, Ace Ogelsby, and Jay Conrad. On the defensive end, Evan Mallard contributed with a sack.
The Flashes have improved their record to 4-2 and will face off against Clinton Christian Academy on the road on Thursday.
