VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —

Porter’s Chapel Academy improves to 8-0 on the year after a 58-16 win over Hillcrest Academy.

Quarterback John Wyatt Massey finished the night with three touchdown passes as he hit Taylor LaBarre(20 yards), Ty Mack and Thomas Azlin(37 yards) for scores. He completed 7 of 10 passes with 121 yards.

Jase Jung carried the ball for times and earned 111 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He also returned a 50-yard punt return for a score. Mack had 74 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, one receiving touchdown and 52 receiving yards.

Defensively, Azlin grabbed seven tackles and four sacks while Jung and Gavin Pugh both had five tackles on the night. Henry Slayton had two tackles and two sacks. Massey also had a sack and Conley Johnston had two forced fumbles.

The Eagles will travel to Sharkey-Issaquena Academy on Friday.
