WC volleyball team celebrates first win in new gym against Pearl

Warren Central High School volleyball team played in the new gymnasium for the first time on Thursday and came out with a win over Pearl in five sets (25-20,18-25,19-25,25-15,15-9).

“I’m really proud of the fight the girls displayed in getting this win and they never gave up and they supported each other when they were down,” WC Head Coach Matthew Gullett said.

Calise Henyard managed eight kills, five digs and five blocks. KK Kelly contributed four kills, five assist, one ace and four digs. Tabreia Davis brought in four aces while Hannah Island added five kills, three digs and three blocks.

Ellie Henderson ended the night with five kills, five aces, seven digs and three blocks while Kennadi McKay added 12 digs and Melissa Herrle posted six kills, three aces, seven digs and two blocks.

The Lady Vikes(21-11) will trace to Center Hill on Tuesday for the first round of the playoffs.
