A cotton picker fire is in process on Highway 465, the equipment will be a total loss.

Eagle Lake firefighters are on the scene where the field was slightly on fire and black smoke was visible for several miles. Fire units 709, 207, and 202 responded to the scene.

At this time, it is not clear how the fire started and no injuries are reported at the scene.
