Alabama offensive lineman transfers to MSU

Former Alabama redshirt-senior Scott Lashley will transfer to play his final year at Mississippi State University.

As Lashley has graduated from Alabama, he is free to transfer without having to sit out a season. Before joining Alabama, Lashley starred at West Point High School in West Point, Miss., where he was a four-star athlete.

Throughout his years at Alabama, he played backup offensive tackle where he saw 58 snaps this season. Lashley will compete for a starting spot under first-year MSU head coach Mike Leach.

Lashley is a 6-foot-7-inch offensive lineman weighing at 310 pounds. He is expected to start classes Tuesday at MSU.
