Alcorn crushed Arkansas-Pine Bluff 31-7 on Saturday

Alcorn State University defeated the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 31-7 on Saturday.

The Braves secured three touchdowns in the second quarter, beginning with a 38-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Allen to Tavari Griffin. Allen also connected with Akeem McNair for another touchdown and ran for a two-yard score himself.

Emerging from halftime with a 21-7 lead, the Braves extended their advantage when Jarveon Howard added a two-yard rushing touchdown. In the final quarter, Noah Kiani contributed with a 35-yard field goal, sealing ASU’s victory.

The Braves will welcome Mississippi Valley State next Saturday.
