Alcorn named as SWAC regular season champs after defeating MVSU

Alcorn State University men’s basketball team are now the Southwestern Athletic Conference 2021-22 Regular Season Champions after defeating Mississippi Valley State University 72-69.

Dontrell McQuater and Justin Thomas both led ASU with 14 points each while Keondre Montgomery added 10.

The Braves are 14-15 on the season and 13-4 in the SWAC.

ASU will host Arkansas Pine Bluff on Saturday.
