Alpha Kappa Alpha to host online events
The Mu Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha are hosting online events on both March 20, and March 27.
The March 20 event is a zoom webinar is, and is part of the ongoing College Admissions Process program and will begin at at 2 p.m. The focus of this month’s webinar is “Prepare Now for Success Later”. The guest speakers will be Ryan Fisher, Operations Manager, Nodal Onboarding at Amazon, and Bryan Fisher, Defense Congressional Fellow, US Senate.
The March 27 event will be A Know Your Rights virtual event and will also be held at 2 p.m. Topics will include expungements, how to survive a traffic stop, stand your ground laws, and others. Guests for this event will be: Chief Penny Jones, Municipal Court Judge Angela Carpenter, District Attorney Daniella Shorter, City Prosecutor Monica Allen and Defense Attorney Demetrice Williams Wells.
