Another suspect has been arrested in connection with last week’s drug bust on Tanglewood Drive.

48-year-old Sheryl Sue Assad was arrested on the 100 block of St. Patrick Street by Warren County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators around 1:00 p.m. She has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine(3 and a half pounds).

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace reported that Assad rented the mobile home in her name that was used by Thomas Jones to store crystal meth. She is now booked into the Warren County Jail and will appear at the Warren County Justice Court on Wednesday.

Pace commented “this is still an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine distribution in Vicksburg and Warren County.”

In last week’s drug bust, Vicksburg Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office seized 217 grams, or approximately ½ pound, of crystal methamphetamine, 131 pressed fentanyl pills, ½ ounce of crack cocaine, and $4,148.00. The street value of the illegal drugs is $7,800.

Thomas Jones and Charley Lee Brown were both arrested.
