ATV crash claims life of Rankin County elementary student

Keigan Norwood, the child involved in an ATV crash last weekend, died as a result of his injuries on Tuesday.

On Sunday, May 28, a devastating ATV accident in Rankin County occurred involving two children, Keigan Norwood and his neighbor, Myleigh Dittus.

The two were riding an ATV when it was struck by a vehicle and sent both children to the ICU. Each were airlifted to UMMC following the crash.

On Tuesday, Norwood died as a result of those injuries. The condition of Dittus is unknown at this time.

Norwood was a student at Pisgah Elementary School.
