Authorities searching for ‘extremely dangerous’ Jefferson Davis County escapees

Authorities are searching for two escapees from the Jefferson Davis County Jail.

Marcus Bridges and Desmond Fortenberry escaped from the jail around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Based on their previous histories, they should be considered extremely dangerous, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Prentiss Mayor Charley Dumas told WLBT that one of the escapees, possibly both, are suspects in murder cases.
