This past weekend Vicksburg has seen a spate of auto thefts and burglaries. In addition to the back-to-back car thefts against sisters Natalie Steed and Stacey Steed Springfield, another three auto thefts and break ins have taken place in Vicksburg since.

Saturday, August 3, a 2014 GMC Arcadia was reported stolen to the Vicksburg Police Department. The vehicle was noticed as missing from Longleaf Street at 6:55 a.m. and has since been listed on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

Just a few hours later, another auto-theft incident took place near the 500 block of Dabney Avenue. In this report, a 2018 white Ford F150 truck was stolen around 1:37 p.m. and later found in the same location without the keys.

On Sunday, August 4, at 6:41 a.m., a report came in that a 2017 Hyundai Tucson was forcefully entered. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the Ramada Hotel, 20 Orme Dr. It is not yet known what, if anything, was taken from the vehicle.

If you have any information that could lead to the arrest of the burglars or the location of the Arcadia, please call 911 or the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511.
