Bail set for Polk Street shooting suspects

At 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Vicksburg Police officers were dispatched to the area of the Polk Street and Drummond Street intersection for a report of shots being fired. At the scene, the officers interviewed several witnesses and soon identified two suspects. Both men were arrested Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Antonio Turner, 18, of Vicksburg is charged with Aggravated Assault and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. He appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday, August 11, 2023, where he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $1,000,000 bond.
Avante Wilson, 19, of Vicksburg is charged with Aggravated Assault and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. Appearing before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday, August 11, 2023, Wilson was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $1,000,000 bond.
