Big night by Howard helps Alcorn defeats Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Jarveon Howard: Alcorn Athletics

Alcorn State University took care of business on Saturday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a 38-21 win.

Running back Jarveon Howard rushed for 295 yards and three touchdowns including a 78-yarder in the victory as the Braves are now 1-0 in the SWAC. Javonta Leatherwood also scored on a seven-yard run and Noah Kiani also nailed a 42 yard field goal.

Alcorn will travel to Mississippi Valley State on Saturday October 8.
