Alcorn State University remains undefeated in the SWAC after Saturday’s 24-12 victory over Mississippi Valley State University.

Quarterback Felix Harper led the way in Saturday’s win by throwing one touchdown and rushing for another while teammate Niko Duffey rushed for 138 yards and a score.

The Braves stepped in district play three weeks ago when they defeated University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff in a close 39-38 match.

Head Coach Fred McNair is now in the middle of leading his team who currently has a overall 4-2 record while being 3-0 in the SWAC. This is the first season the Braves have played since 2019 due to the cancellation of the 2020 season because of COVID-19.

As of now, ASU is ranked second in the SWAC West right behind Prairie View A&M.

On Saturday, the Braves will take on Texas Southern in a road game.
