Porter’s Chapel Academy football player Brayson Morson has been named the Vicksburg Daily News defensive player of the week due to his great performance on defense last week against Benton Academy.

Morson is one of the Eagles’ youngest starters, helping lead the team in his freshman season.

He managed to rack up 11 tackles on defense in last week’s game, and he also scored the second touchdown of the game when he took a 93-yard kickoff return for a score. Unfortunately, the Eagles lost 46-12.

Morson has the rest of the season to gain impressive stats as he did last week for the Eagles. He is preparing for PCA’s second game this Friday.
