Porter’s Chapel Academy softball player Audrey Carraway is less than a month away from being back on the softball field to show off her skills as the Lady Eagles’ season will begin soon.

“I’m positive that we can do big things this year because we have much more power than last year, and we’ve gotten better over the years,” Carraway said.

Carraway, a rising sophomore, was one of PCA’s key players from the 2022 squad. She had a breakout performance against Wilkinson County Christian in 2022, where she hit the team’s lone home run while finishing with five RBIs, three hits, and two runs.

“That home run was the highlight of my season, but I’m looking forward to doing bigger things and making more memories this season,” Carraway added.

Carraway focused a lot on hitting in 2022, but she has now been pitching a good bit as she is under the leadership of Carlos Dawson.

“I can see my game improving, especially since we have all the new pitching coaches, so I’m just going to keep striving to get better,” Carraway said.

PCA will begin their season on August 1 when they host Wilkinson County Christian.
