Faith Christian Center is hosting a free health and wellness event Sunday, Oct. 3 at the City Park pavilion 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. to promote breast cancer awareness and COVID-19 health concerns.

This event is free to the public and will feature a panel discussion with expert physicians, Q&A to provide reliable answers to your questions around fighting cancer, coronavirus and other health issues. Attendees will also be able to take advantage of free health screenings for blood pressure and cholesterol levels, COVID-19 vaccinations and win door prizes.

The event was made possible as part of the Health Literacy Grant in which the City of Vicksburg, in partnership with Jackson State University and the Jackson Hinds Comprehensive Health Center, has been awarded $3 million to ensure that free health resources are available to everyone, regardless of finances, insurance, and other common barriers in the midst of the pandemic.
