Demarcus Jones and Jeff Scott Jr. represent the River City well in their college careers

Vicksburg natives Demarcus Jones and Jeff Scott Jr. were a big part of their college football teams this past season as they both became impact players.

Demarcus Jones (USM Athletics)

Jones, a former Warren Central standout, played for the University of Southern Mississippi in 2020 where he stood out at wide receiver. He had a total of 29 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown for the Golden Eagles.

Jeff Scott Jr. (ASU Athletics)

Scott, a former Vicksburg High player, played his first season at Alabama State University this spring where he came up with multiple big plays. He finished with a total of 10 tackles along with a game winning interception as defensive back.
