Due to the recent reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision, Dick’s Sporting Goods has announced that they will provide up to $4,000 in travel expenses to their staff to gain access to an abortion.

The company made the announcement on Friday over Twitter shortly after the decision was made, saying “You are the heart of our business, and we are committed to protecting your health and well-being.”

The company acknowledged that the topic of abortion can generate a strong emotional response and not everyone would agree with their stance.  Even so, they’ve decided to extend this offer to their employees “so our teammates can access the same health care options, regardless of where they live, and choose what is best for them.”
