Douglas Ervin Hambright, 1965 – 2022

Douglas Ervin Hambright “Buckwheat” passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22. He was born in Vicksburg, MS. He moved to Utica, MS in 1965 and has lived there since.

He was a member of Utica Baptist Church. He was a retired meat butcher.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Allen Hambright; and brother, Eddie Hambright.

He is survived by mother, Dorothy Hambright; sons, James “Chase” Hambright and George “Hunter” Hambright; daughter-in-law, Ashley Hambright; grandsons, Logan Hambright, Henry Hambright; brother, Billy Hambright; sister Dottie Willis.

A memorial service will be held at Utica Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Rocky Henrique officiating the service. A burial will follow at Pine Bluff Cemetery.
