Drive-by victim injuries not believed to be life-threatening

An individual shot on Washington Street in a drive-by incident does not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

At around 2:20 p.m., Vicksburg police were notified of a shooting in the 3600 block of Washington Street.

The victim was reported to have been walking down the street when a white car drove by and opened fire.

It is believed the bullet penetrated their arm and struck them in the chest. It is unknown if the bullet penetrated the chest, but initial reports state the wound does not appear to be life threatening.
