Embankment at Waterview Casino collapses into parking lot

An embankment at Waterview Casino in Vicksburg has collapsed.
The hillside that collapsed bordered the parking lot, and the earth and mud poured into the lot.
City workers are on the scene assessing the situation. The roadway above the embankment that runs from the casino parking lot up to Washington Street has been closed. The other road is open.
No one has been hurt and no vehicles were damaged, based on first reports.
The Waterview Casino and Hotel is open.
