Entergy Mississippi restoration update
As of 8 p.m. Thursday, Entergy spokesperson Sheila McKinnis confirmed that 92% of the damage from Tuesday’s severe weather event has been assessed.
Incurred damage includes 48 broken poles, 90 spans of wire, 9 damaged transformers, along with 21 areas with trees down. Four homes were reported to have suffered damage from the storm as well. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in our area.
At this time, 1396 Entergy customers remain without power. McKinnis advises that some customers will be restored by 10 p.m. Thursday, but those customers in the hardest hit areas can expect to be restored by 10 p.m. Friday.
At the peak, there were over 10,000 electric service outages between the three providers that service Warren County.
