ETA TAU Chapter held their annual community & reclamation cookout on Saturday

The ETA TAU Chapter of Omega Psi Phi held their annual community & reclamation cookout on Saturday in conjunction with the ETA Chapter and Bridges 2 Somewhere Foundation.

The event was held at Clear Creek Golf Course in Bovina. The event featured dancing, cooking and all-around good vibes.

For over 15 years, the members of Omega Psi Phi have been putting on this event in a effort to give back to the community. The fraternity hosts a number of events throughout Warren, Jefferson and Claiborne Counties. Events held include blood drives, can food drives, toy drives, along with Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets. They also made a donation to the Department of Human Services in Claiborne County.

The Eta Tau Chapter was established on December 14, 1958 in Port Gibson, Mississippi where they have been a blessing to the community for over sixty years.

Keith Phillips is the Vicksburg Daily News Sports Editor. He has been on staff since October 2019 where he was part-time until becoming full-time in 2020. Keith is a Vicksburg native and graduate of Vicksburg High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.
