Quick response by Warren County firefighters saves home on Fisher Ferry
Just before 3:30 p.m. Fisher Ferry and Letourneau Fire Departments were alerted to a structure fire in the 7000 block of Fisher Ferry Road.
The first units on the scene reported smoke visible from the structure. Multiple Warren County firefighting units arrived at the scene quickly. Firefighters from the Fisher Ferry station, along with Fireboss Jerry Briggs and Fisher Ferry Chief Mitch Lange were able to extinguish the flames.
No one was in the structure when units arrived.
Engines 302 and 303 with Fisher Ferry, Fire medic 30, and several Sheriff’s Deputies attended the fire threat.
Fireboss Briggs indicated the fire originated on the back porch but it is too early to determine the cause. Due to the quick response, the fire was contained to the back porch.
The location of the fire is near Jeff Davis in the curve. If you are traveling Fisher Ferry please use caution and allow firefighters plenty of room.
