St. Aloysius fell short of a victory on Friday night in a 8-0 loss to Centreville.

The only touchdown scored on the night was a 15 yard run in the second quarter that sealed everything for Centreville.

St. Aloysius made a few mistakes in the match that helped Centreville especially during a punt where the Flashes’ punter kneeled down that put CA in good field position for the touchdown.

The Flashes also appeared to score when Pierson Smith picked up a muffed punt and returned it but the ball was placed around the 20. Penalties would drive the Flashes back and they were unable to get a touchdown.

Carson Smith also hit Damien Reeves for a touchdown but that was also called back for tripping.

The defensive held up throughout the night with Thomas Dowe getting in double digit tackles while Jax Oglesby controlled things on the defensive line. Jayden Weldon also had a sack.

The Flashes will be at home next week against Riverfield.
