St. Aloysius High School football team lost a heartbreaker to Columbia Academy 14-0.

The Flashes’ defense came out making big stops by Caleb Tucker, Thompson Fortenberry, Damien Reeves and Land Oglesby along with an interception by Sadler Lambiotte.

The Cougars eventually made their way into St. Al’s territory but the Flashes forced a fumble and kept the game scoreless. CA scored just shortly before halftime from a long touchdown pass as they went up 7-0.

The game continued as a defensive battle in the second half as Brady Harrell came up with his first varsity sack.

Offensively, Damien Reeves caught two big passes from Carson Smith but the Flashes trailed by one touchdown.

The Cougars scored again with three minutes left in the game to take home the win.

The Flashes will travel to play Manchester on Friday.
